国際教育プログラム成果発表会の発表者たち

先日、2025年度国際教育プログラム成果発表会を聞くため、法政大学国際高等学校に伺いました。オーラル発表のみを拝聴しましたが、一瞬、自分が大学にいるのではないかと錯覚するほどでした。興味深い発表を自信に満ちた様子で行い、その後の質疑応答でも堂々と質問に答える姿は、とても頼もしく感じられました。

私が聞かせていただいたのは、「DP History の学び〜覚える歴史から考える歴史」、「ダンゴムシの幼体における交替性転向反応の有無と成長および歩行能力との関係」、「デューイの教育理念と現代教育の再構築〜『学校と社会』を読んで〜」、そして「グローバル・アントレプレナーシップ」（PBL）でした。

多様な観点から自ら問いを立て、視点を形成すること。先行研究を踏まえて仮説を立て、実験と検証を重ね、さらに新たな仮説へとつなげていく探究の姿勢。理論的思考と対話を通じた主体的な学び。そして異国の地を訪れ、現地の人々の起業を手伝うことを通して得られる多方面での成長。こうした学びの成果を見ると、高校においても学びはこれほどまでに豊かなものになり得るのだと実感します。そして、そこで得た経験はきっと一生役立つものになるのではないかと思いました。

ほかにも興味深いプレゼンテーションが数多くありましたが、分身できるわけではないので、一時限に一つしか聞くことができませんでした。来年度はぜひ、ポスターセッションも見に行きたいと思います。

発表者の皆さん、そして生徒を指導された先生方、本当にお疲れさまでした。
 

The other day, I visited Hosei University’s Kokusai High School to attend the 2025 International Education Program Results Presentation. I listened only to the oral presentations, and for a moment it felt as though I were sitting in a university setting. The presenters spoke confidently on topics that were both engaging and thought-provoking, and during the Q&A sessions they responded to questions with composure and clarity. It was a very encouraging sight.

The presentations I had the opportunity to listen to were: “Learning in DP History: From Memorizing History to Thinking Historically,” “The Presence or Absence of Alternating Turning Behavior in Juvenile Pill Bugs and Its Relationship to Growth and Locomotor Ability,” “Dewey’s Educational Philosophy and the Reconstruction of Modern Education: Reading School and Society,”and “PBL: Global Entrepreneurship”.

Engaging with issues from multiple perspectives, raising one’s own questions, and developing a perspective. Building hypotheses on the basis of prior research, conducting experiments and verification, and linking the results to new hypotheses through an ongoing process of inquiry. Developing independent learning through theoretical thinking and dialogue. Broadening perspectives and capabilities through visiting a foreign country and supporting local people in launching their own businesses.

Seeing the outcomes of such learning brings home how rich learning at the high school level can be. The experiences gained through it will surely prove valuable throughout life.
There were many other presentations that looked fascinating as well, but unfortunately it is impossible to be in two places at once, so I could listen to only one presentation per session. Next year, I hope to attend the poster session as well.
