「客途秋恨」の学内上映会に参加した方々

HKU Alumni Network of Japan と法政大学グローバル教育センターの共催により、香港を代表する女性映画監督・アン・ホイによる半自伝的映画の学内上映会が行われました。当日は、年齢、経験、専門分野、国籍、ジェンダー、エスニシティなど、多様な背景をもつ参加者が集い、日曜日の午後に、充実した示唆に富む時間が共有されました。

本作は、香港の主人公と日本にルーツを持つ母親が歩む内省的な旅を描き、アイデンティティ、記憶、場所、ディアスポラといったテーマを織り交ぜながら展開されます。上映後には、法政大学GISのグレゴリー・ケズルネジャット准教授、HKU Alumni Network of Japan代表のシャロン・ツァン＝タカオ氏とともに、私もパネルディスカッションに参加し、香港大学のスティーブン・ン博士がモデレーターを務めました。

パネルディスカッションや会場からのコメントを通して、私たちはアイデンティティや帰属意識、記憶、そして相互につながる感覚について、時間や空間、専門分野の垣根を越えて意見を交わしました。終了後には、深い「つながり」を実感するとともに、新たなエネルギーを得たように感じました。

An event jointly organized by the HKU Alumni Network of Japan and the Global Education Center of Hosei University featured a screening of a semi-autobiographical film by Ann Hui, a pioneering woman director from Hong Kong. The event brought together panelists and audience members diverse in age, experience, disciplinary background, national origin, gender, ethnicity, and more, for an enriching and reflective Sunday afternoon discussion.

The film explores the soul-searching journey of a Hong Kong Chinese protagonist and her Japanese mother, weaving together themes of identity, memory, place, and diaspora. It was followed by a panel discussion in which I participated alongside Associate Professor Gregory Khezrnejat (GIS) and Sharon Tsang-Takao, Chair of the HKU Alumni Network of Japan, and moderated by Dr. Stephen Ng (HKU).

Through the panel discussion and audience comments, we touched on questions of identity, belonging, memory, and interconnectedness, traversing time, space, and disciplinary boundaries. I left with a strong sense of genuine interconnectedness and renewed energy.
