Welcome back to school!
I am excited to announce two upcoming GSAS sessions scheduled in October.
1) Monday, October 6th, 11:00-12:00 in F306
Profs. Niiya, Melvin, and Suan will explain about the most important document you will need to prepare for grad school application: the personal statement (also known as statement of purpose). We will give you a general guideline on where to start, what to include, what you should avoid, and ways you can polish your statements.
2) Tuesday, October 21st, 15:00-16:00 in BT0903
Ms. Trang Nguyen from the GIS Reference Room will tell you all you want to know about graduate programs in Australia. This is the first time we offer a session featuring Australia. Join us to hear more about this opportunity.

I am very aware that for some of you, these sessions may clash with your classes. Unfortunately, we cannot find a time that works for everybody. We are trying to vary the date and time of the sessions so that you can attend some of these sessions.
Please get the handout from the GSAS folder after the session and ask me for an individual consultation if needed.
