Dear Graduates,
Today, we celebrate not just your graduation, but the incredible journey you've embarked on since April 2020. It was a time when the world was facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. This situation changed our normal ways for studies, with classes moving online and making it hard for you all to meet and connect with fellow students face-to-face.
Despite these challenges, you've shown remarkable resilience and determination. You adapted to new ways of learning, supported each other, and continued to pursue your goals. This journey has not only expanded your knowledge but also strengthened your character.
At GIS, you've acquired key skills that have prepared you for the future. You've improved your English to meet global standards, developed the ability to think critically, and learned how to effectively share your ideas through discussions and presentations. Moreover, you've gained a broad understanding and a deep respect for diversity, which are crucial in today's world.
As you step into the future, I encourage you to use these skills to contribute to a better society. The world needs leaders who are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and committed to positive change. You, as GIS graduates, are well-equipped to be those leaders.
So, as you move forward, aim high but also remember to make a difference in the world. Whether you're working locally or internationally, know that you have the potential to bring about significant change. Let the values and education you received here at GIS guide you in creating a more understanding, fair, and prosperous world for everyone.

卒業生の皆さんへ
本日は、皆さんの卒業を心からお祝いするとともに、2020年4月に始まった特別な旅の節目を称える日です。世界が新型コロナウイルスの困難に直面していたまさにその時、私たちの日常は一変しました。授業はオンラインへと移行し、同級生と顔を合わせる機会も限られ、新しい学生生活を送る上で多くの挑戦がありました。
そんな中でも、皆さんは素晴らしい回復力と意志の強さを見せてくれました。新しい学習スタイルに適応し、互いに助け合い、目標に向かって一歩一歩進み続けたのです。この経験は、知識の拡大だけでなく、皆さんの人間性をも成長させました。
GISでの学びを通じ、皆さんは将来に向けて重要なスキルを身につけました。世界基準の英語力、批判的思考、ディスカッションやプレゼンテーションでのアイデアの効果的な共有方法を学びました。また、多様性を受け入れ、理解する力も養われました。これらは、今日の世界で非常に重要です。
これからの未来に向けて、皆さんがこれらのスキルを活かし、より良い社会の実現に貢献してくれることを期待しています。ただ知識を持つだけでなく、思いやりを持ち、積極的な変化を推進するリーダーが今、世界中で求められています。GISの卒業生として、皆さんはそのリーダーシップを発揮する準備ができています。
これから先も、大きな目標を掲げるだけでなく、世界にポジティブな影響を与えることを忘れないでください。国内外を問わず、皆さん一人ひとりが大きな変化を起こす力を持っています。GISで培った価値観と知識が、公正で、理解し合える、そして繁栄する社会を築くための指針となるでしょう。
2024年の卒業生の皆さん、これまでの困難を乗り越え、新たなスタートラインに立つ準備が整いました。皆さんのこれまでの成果を心から誇りに思いますし、これから先、どんな素晴らしい影響を世界にもたらしてくれるのか、楽しみにしています。勇気を持ち、自分の信じる道を進んでください。世界は皆さんの光で明るく照らされることでしょう。
