2026年7月9日に、春入学2年生および秋入学1年生を対象に、Seminar（ゼミ）説明会が実施されました。GIS（グローバル教養学部）の学生は、春入学生は3年次春学期から、秋入学生は2年次春学期から、2年間Seminarに参加することができます。
GISにおいてSeminar履修は必修でありませんが、特定の分野の専門知識をはじめ、研究経験や実践的なスキルを習得できるため、Seminarへの参加が推奨されています。各Seminarにより研究活動は異なりますが、卒業論文の執筆や創作活動に加え、フィールドワークやビジネスコンテストへの挑戦、企業訪問、夏合宿といった多様な課外活動が行われているのも魅力の一つです。

On July 9th, an information session regarding seminars was held for the second-year students who enrolled in the spring, and first-year students who enrolled in the fall. Students in the GIS (Department of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies) program can participate in seminars for two years, starting in the spring semester of their third year for those that entered in spring, and in the spring semester of their second year, for those that entered in fall.
While participating in a seminar is not required at GIS, it is, however, strongly encouraged as it allows students to acquire specialized knowledge in specific fields, research experience, and practical skills. Though research activities vary by seminar, one of the program’s highlights is the diverse range of extracurricular activities, including writing graduation theses, creative projects, and fieldwork focusing on participating in business competitions, visiting companies, and summer retreats.
