GSAS kicked off this year on May 20 with a general overview of graduate school applications. This was the first time we offered a hybrid workshop where students could choose to attend either in person or online. Professors Niiya and Birtles addressed many questions common to our students: Should I go to graduate school? Will it advance my career? When and where do I start? Does GPA matter? How do I choose a program? These questions marked an excellent start to a longer journey toward graduate schools. In June, we will welcome two GIS alumni who will share their experience applying to and studying in graduate programs in the UK. Please sign up if you haven’t already!

本年度の第一回目のGSASは５月20日に開催されました。対面とオンラインの同時開催をするのは実は初めての試みでした。大学院は行った方がいいの？就職に有利って本当？いつ、何から取りかかればいいの？大学の成績はどのくらい重要なの？どうやって大学院を選べばいいの？どれも大学院受験を考えるにあたり、とても重要な問いです。新谷先生とバートルズ先生がこれらの疑問について一つずつ丁寧に解説していきました。次回のGSASは６月です。GISの卒業生２名をお迎えして、イギリスでの院生生活についてお話しいただきます！まだ申し込んでいない人はぜひ申し込みましょう。
