【イベント報告】GIS Talk: Mr. Scott Kikkawa, May 8

GIS Talks was pleased to welcome author Scott Kikkawa to give a fascinating talk on the history of immigration waves from Japan to Hawai'i. Describing in detail the various cultural dynamics and tensions, he explored how that history is reflected in his works of noir fiction set in Honolulu during the 1950s. Attendees gained a newfound appreciation for these moments in history, and there was a lively round of questions for the author, where he further elaborated on his points and discussed how and why he settled on that historical setting for his novels.
