法政大学GIS（グローバル教養学部）への合格、心よりお祝い申し上げます。
GISは、日本という枠にとどまらず、世界を舞台に活躍する「グローバルリーダー」を育成する学部です。そのため、すべての授業を英語で行い、世界標準のカリキュラムに基づいたリベラルアーツ教育を提供しています。
GISでの学びは、知識を一方的に「受け取る」ものではありません。授業内外での活発なディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを通じて、自ら問いを立て、考え抜き、他者と議論しながら答えを探究していきます。こうした経験を積み重ねることで、グローバルリーダーに不可欠な批判的思考力・論理的思考力、そして課題を発見し解決する力を着実に身につけていきます。
GISには、多様なバックグラウンドを持つ学生と教員が集まっています。外国人教員の比率は約55％にのぼり、日本人学生と留学生が日常的に同じ教室で学んでいます。異なる文化や価値観を持つ仲間との学びは、視野を広げるだけでなく、自分自身の考えを磨く貴重な機会となるでしょう。国際的な視点は、特別なプログラムとしてではなく、日々の授業の中で自然と培われていきます。
3年次からはゼミに所属し、関心のある分野をより専門的に学びながら、卒業論文の完成を目指します。少人数での丁寧な指導のもと、自分の問いを掘り下げ、一つの研究としてまとめ上げる経験は、大学での学びの集大成であり、将来に向けた大きな自信となるはずです。
卒業後を見据えたキャリア支援も、GISの大きな特長の一つです。GGLIでは、日系・外資系のグローバル企業や起業家など、第一線で活躍するプロフェッショナルによる講義・講演を通じて、実社会とつながる学びを提供しています。また、GSASでは、海外大学院進学を目指す学生に対し、合格や奨学金獲得に向けた実践的かつ継続的な支援を行っています。あなたの将来像に応じて、学びを次のステージへとつなげる環境が整っています。
GISでの4年間は、決して楽な道ではありません。しかしその分、ここで得られる経験と成長は、世界で通用する力として、あなたの可能性を大きく広げてくれるでしょう。

Congratulations on your admission!
We are delighted to welcome you to the Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies (GIS) at Hosei University and sincerely congratulate you on this accomplishment.
GIS is a faculty dedicated to cultivating global leaders—individuals who think, act, and make an impact on the world stage, not only within Japan. To achieve this goal, all courses at GIS are taught entirely in English, and students engage in a world-standard liberal arts curriculum designed to prepare them for global challenges.
Learning at GIS is not about passively receiving knowledge. Through intensive discussions, presentations, and close interaction with both faculty and peers, students are encouraged to question assumptions, think deeply, and articulate their ideas with clarity and confidence. These experiences foster the critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills that are essential for global leaders.
GIS brings together a highly diverse academic community. Approximately 55% of our faculty members are international, and Japanese students study alongside students from a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds. Learning with peers who hold different perspectives and values sharpens one’s thinking and broadens one’s worldview. At GIS, a global perspective is not something added on—it is something you develop naturally through everyday classroom experiences.
From the third year onward, students join a seminar and pursue more specialized study in their chosen field, culminating in the completion of a graduation thesis. Through close, small-group supervision, students refine their intellectual interests and transform their questions into a coherent piece of academic work. This process represents the culmination of their undergraduate studies and provides a strong foundation for future endeavors.
GIS also offers robust support for life after graduation. Through GGLI, students have opportunities to learn directly from professionals at Japanese and multinational corporations, as well as entrepreneurs who are active on the global stage. For those aspiring to pursue graduate studies abroad, GSAS provides comprehensive support for applications and scholarship acquisition. Whatever path you envision, GIS offers the resources and guidance to help you take the next step with confidence.
The four years at GIS will be demanding—but they will also be deeply rewarding. The challenges you face here will shape you into someone equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to succeed anywhere in the world.
