Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss a specific sector of the Japanese sexual entertainment market that targets female clients, known as rezu fūzoku. These companies offer women the opportunity to engage in sexual intimacy with a female provider for a fee. I will focus on the unique aspects of this business and how it is marketed as a “healing” activity, while also exploring the motivations that lead female clients to choose this service.
This talk will also be streamed online via Zoom.
