【実施報告】2024 First GSAS Workshop Held / GSAS 2024 第一回ワークショップ開催（2024/05/08）

The 2024 series of Graduate School Application Support (GSAS) workshops kicked off on May 8th. GSAS offers GIS students the chance to learn about graduate school, plan for applications and apply for programs and scholarships. This initial session was led by Professor Niiya (supported by Professor Khezrnejat and Professor Birtles) and was an introduction to graduate school and the benefits of a postgraduate education. All three professors shared their personal experiences of studying in graduate schools in the US (Prof. Niiya), the UK (Prof. Birtles), and Japan (Prof. Khezrnejat). The session was well attended by students from all the year groups, ranging from curious first-year students to fourth-year students beginning the application process. The subsequent sessions planned throughout the year will build on this informational session and help guide interested students through the process of securing a place at a graduate school in Japan or overseas.
