【実施報告】Second GSAS Workshop Held / GSAS 第二回ワークショップ開催

GIS held its second GSAS Workshop on July 19th. Professor Niiya explained the timeline for applying to graduate schools in the U.S., U.K., and Japan and suggested various ways students could take advantage of the summer break to advance their preparation for the application process. We had the pleasure to invite two recent alumni, Ms. Maya Bennett and Ms. Kotone Tsunehisa, who will commence their graduate studies from September. Both shared their experience preparing for graduate school and offered invaluable advice to GIS students. Their stories helped our attendees see that graduate study is an attractive prospect for graduates of GIS. We are planning on offering another workshop early in the fall on writing an effective statement of purpose. 

GISでは7月19日に第二回目のGSASワークショップを開催しました。今回は新谷先生が出願までの大まかなスケジュールを国別に紹介し、大学院進学に向けて夏休み期間中に取り向くべき課題などを紹介しました。また、卒業生のベネット 真絢さんと 常久 琴音さんにもご参加いただき、進学のためにどのような準備をどのタイミングで行ったのかについてご紹介いただきました。GIS生に多くのアドバイスをいただきありがとうございました。大学院進学が一気に現実味を帯びてきました。次回は秋のはじめにStatement of Purposeの書き方についてのワークショップを計画しています。
