| Education and Experience/教育・経験 | Takeshi Yuzawa received his PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to joining Hosei University, he was a research fellow at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA), a research think tank affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. He is the author of Japan’s Security Policy and the ASEAN Regional Forum: The Search for Multilateral Security in the Asia-Pacific (Routledge). He has also published articles in international peer-reviewed journals as well as numerous book chapters in edited volumes. Since 2024, he has held the position of Secretary-Treasurer and an Executive Committee member of International Studies Association (ISA) Asia-Pacific. |
| Research Interests/研究関心 | Professor Yuzawa’s research interests include international relations theory and international relations of East Asia. Over the past decade, his research has mainly examined the processes behind the formation and transformation of regional order in East Asia from both empirical and theoretical perspectives. Funded by a grant from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, he currently conducts interdisciplinary research, which integrates theoretical insights from organizational theory, policy studies, and sociology, to theorize the mechanisms by which international order is reproduced and transformed through the interplay of norms and practices. |

略歴（日本語）
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) にて博士号を取得（国際関係学博士）。民間企業勤務後に、大学院に留学。その後日本国際問題研究所常勤研究員などを経て、2010年に本学グローバル教養学部に着任、現在に至る。専門は国際関係理論と東アジアの国際関係。主な著書に、Japan’s Security Policy and the ASEAN Regional Forum: The Search for Multilateral Security in the Asia-Pacific (Routledge) (単著)、International Security in the Asia Pacific :Transcending ASEAN towards Transitional Polycentrism (Palgrave Macmillan)（共著）、『国際秩序が揺らぐとき－歴史・理論・国際法からみる変容』（千倉書房）（共著）など。その他、学術書や査読付き学術誌に多数の論文を発表。国際学会においても、パネルを数多く企画するなど、研究成果を広く国際社会に発信するために積極的に活動している。
近年は、主に東アジア地域を事例とし、国際秩序の生成と変容プロセスのメカニズムの解明に関する研究に取り組んでいる。現在は、科学研究費の助成を受けて、組織論、政策科学論、社会学の知見を融合し、国際規範が国家や国際機関によって政策として実践される過程で生じる規範と慣行の「相互作用」により、国際秩序が再生産・変容するメカニズムを理論化することを目的とする学際的な研究を行っている(事例研究として、東アジア地域における政治(人権保護)、安全保障(海洋安全保障)、経済(インフラ投資)分野など)。
2024年に政治学・国際関係学分野において世界有数の学会であるInternational Studies Association (ISA) Asia-Pacificの理事(Secretary-Treasurer, Executive Council/Committee member)に選出され、国際学会の運営にも従事している。
