We held an orientation for new students on Saturday, April 1.
At the start of the orientation, Professor Fukuoka, Dean of GIS, gave a speech in which he stated that "GIS is an educational institution that fosters global leaders with global standards" and that "we will do our utmost to support the development of global leaders."

The second half of the orientation consisted of activities with Open Campus (OC) staff. In addition to new students and OC staff, faculty staff joined in with a game of bingo. One of the advantages of GIS is that students can have close contact with their instructors.
What happens over the next four years is up you, the students.
Everyone at GIS is looking forward to a fruitful four years during which our students will take on new challenges, not only in terms of classes but also in terms of many other aspects too.

4月1日（土）、新入生を対象にオリエンテーションを開催しました！
冒頭、GIS学部長 福岡先生より、「GISがグローバル基準を身に付けたグローバルリーダーを育てる教育機関であること」、そして「グローバルリーダーの育成のため全力で支援する」とのメッセージがありました。
オリエンテーションの後半は、オープンキャンパス（OC）スタッフによるアクティビティを実施しました。ビンゴゲームでは、新入生とOCスタッフに加え、教員も参加していました。
学生と教員の距離の近さもGISの良さのひとつです。
さて、これから始まる4年間をどう過ごすかは皆さん次第です。
授業はもちろん、その他さまざまなことにチャレンジし、充実した4年間となることを期待しています。
