GIS Wins Again! Best Teacher Award presented to a GIS Professor for 4th Year in a Row

GIS prides itself on its excellence in education, and teaching is one of the areas where this is most visible. Despite the numerous challenges that online learning presented, our experienced instructors have striven to maintain their high standards and provide our students with a top-quality education. In light of our efforts, Professor John Melvin has received the Hosei University Best Teacher Award for the 2020 academic year. Nominated and voted on by the students, the prize is awarded for exceptional teaching and mentorship. This is actually the 3rd time Professor Melvin has won the award, and with Professor Allen Kim winning in 2019, this marks the 4th year in a row that GIS professors have been honored for their pedagogy. It is this quality of teaching that GIS will continue to provide into the future!
