法政 Peace Circle の開催のお知らせ／Announcement: UN Peace Circle at Hosei University

　今日の世界情勢において、若者主導による平和に関する対話や解決策の検討の必要性は、かつてないほどに急速に高まってきています。そのような状況のなかで、「若者」「平和」「安全保障」に関する国連の新しいキャンペーンである「Hear Us. Act Now for a Peaceful World （私たちの声を聞いて。平和な世界のために今すぐ行動を）」の一環として、法政大学で「国連ピース・サークル」を実施することになりました。

　「ピース・サークル」は、若者が中心となり、平和や地球規模の課題について対話し、ともに考えていく場です。これまでに米国、ヨルダン、メキシコ、ホンジュラス、コロンビア、シリア、タンザニア等で開催され、現在、日本各地でもこの取り組みを拡大しています。

　そして、今回、法政大学でもこの「ピース・サークル」のイベントを実施することになりました！今回は、「"誰一人取り残さない平和"を私たちはどう実践するのか？」をテーマに対話していきます。同世代の若者たちといっしょに、私たちがリードしていく「平和」とはどのようなものなのか、どのようにアクションを起こしていくべきか、考えてみませんか？
　今回の「ピース・サークル」における対話の成果は、『若者の平和への貢献に関する国連事務総長の報告書』にもインプットされる予定です。「あなたの声」を国連に届ける貴重な機会です！

　In today’s global climate, the need for youth-led dialogue and solutions regarding peace is growing more rapidly than ever. Under these circumstances, Hosei University will host the "UN Peace Circle" as part of the United Nations’ new campaign for youth, peace, and security: “Hear Us. Act Now for a Peaceful World.”

　The "Peace Circle" is a youth-centered platform for dialogue and collective reflection on peace and global challenges. Having been held in countries such as the U.S., Jordan, Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Syria, and Tanzania, this initiative is now expanding across Japan.

　Now, it’s coming to Hosei University! Our theme for this session will be: "Advancing inclusive peace— leaving no one behind" Join us to explore what kind of "peace" we can lead as a generation and how we should take action.

　The outcomes of dialogue are expected to be reflected in the” UN Secretary-General’s report on youth contributions to peace”. This is a precious opportunity to ensure your voice is heard by the United Nations!
