【イベント報告】ガイダンス開催：University of Sussex (UK), San José State University (US)

On July 3, we had an information session on studying at the University of Sussex. Mr. Takuto Oba, who is a representative of the university, delivered an informative presentation with full of information ranging from school life to the city of Brighton where the university is located.
On July 9, we had a Zoom meeting with Ms. Marwa Abbas, a manager of the Semester at San José State University (SJSU). She made an enlightening presentation that illustrated the diversity of the school and the benefits of studying in Silicon Valley.
The GIS students who participated listened attentively and asked questions to the presenters, getting off to a good start to consider studying abroad next year.

７月3日、Sussex大学日本担当官の大葉拓斗さんを招いてガイダンスを実施しました。大葉さんはプレゼンテーションで、学校生活から大学所在地のブライトンの街の様子に至る様々な内容を紹介しました。
７月9日、San José 州立大学でSemester at SJSU の責任者を務めるMarwa AbbasさんとのZoomミーティングを開催しました。Abbasさんは、多様性に満ちた同大学の特長やシリコンバレーのあるキャンパスで学ぶ利点を紹介しました。
参加したGIS生は真剣に聞き入り講演者に質問をして、来年度出発の留学を検討する良いスタートとなりました。

法政大学グローバル教養学部（GIS）では、在学中の留学は必須ではありませんが、毎年、多くの学生が、グローバル教育センターが運営する派遣留学制度や、GIS独自の留学プログラム「OAS」に参加しています。GISでは、すべての授業が英語で行われるため、プレゼンテーションやレポートも英語で取り組むことになりますが、海外の大学で現地の学生と同じ正規授業を受けることは、GISの学びとはまた違った貴重な経験となります。GISをはじめ、法政大学の留学制度は非常に充実しています。
