Foundational education stages
(Years 1 to 4:
Core courses)

 

・ Full completion of 100-level Introductory Courses from a range of disciplines
・ Results of mid and end of term examinations in 100-level Introductory Courses

・ Ability to identify problems in everyday life (DP1)

Applied education stages

Intermediate courses)

・ Full completion of 200-level l Intermediate Courses from a range of disciplines, participation in group and class discussions, interactive study, such as presentations, and academic essay writing
・ Results of mid and end of term examinations in 200-level Intermediate Courses
・ Acquisition of credits
・ Approval of credits obtained during study abroad at other universities

・ Ability to make unbiased judgements about problematic issues, without bias or prejudice, to arrive at solutions (DP1)
・ Deepening of specialist knowledge of each region (DP2)
・ Acquisition of interdisciplinary research techniques (DP2)

・ Experience diversity in 400-level Seminars formed of faculty staff and students from a range of backgrounds
・ Fieldwork, analysis and evaluation/criticism of academic papers, and peer assessment in 400-level Seminars
・ Dedication to produce original research for graduation thesis and creative projects in 400-level Seminars
・ Acquisition of credits
・ Approval of credits obtained during study abroad at other universities

・ Ability to adopt an analytical perspective that transcends conventions and narrow disciplinary confines  (DP1)
・ Ability to explore current social problems and cultural phenomena based on up-to-date knowledge and outside the bounds of narrow disciplinary confines (DP2)
