「東京六大学野球応援」を実施しました

１０月６日（土）、神宮球場で学生センター・課外教養プログラム「東京六大学野球応援」を実施しました。

今回は「法政スポーツ」の応援を通じて、留学生などの交流を目的としており、１０９名の学生が参加しました。多くの参加者により、応援席は大変な盛り上がりを見せました。

試合中は応援団の熱血応援を後押しするべく、法政スポーツ応援サークル「橙青会」が応援初心者の皆さんをリードしてくれたり、留学生交流サークル「Hi-C Orange」をはじめとする日本人サポーターの学生が、留学生をサポートしてくれたりと、とても一体感のある雰囲気でした。また、留学生は初めて見る法政大学応援団の応援に驚いていたものの、徐々に慣れ、周りの留学生と楽しみながら応援をしていました。

試合は５－１で勝利し、２回表の法政の攻撃で先制点を取った時には「スクラム校歌」で応援席全体が一つになり、皆で肩を組んで校歌を熱唱しました。

課外教養プログラムでは、今後も「法政スポーツ」の応援プログラムを実施していきます。

参加学生による報告

普段、同じ大学に通う選手たちや応援団が、活躍している姿を間近で見ることができて光栄でした。また、留学生と一緒に得点した時は肩を組んで応援歌を歌ったり、応援の仕方や意味などを彼らに教えながら観戦したことで、本当に楽しく国際交流もすることができました。来年もぜひ参加したいです。

As an American who’s been to numerous Major League Baseball games, I’m not going to lie. I think it’s a dreadfully boring sport. There’s too much down time, so you’re often staring down at the field waiting for something to happen, or wondering how long the line at the bathroom is. The Hosei game I attended, however, was something different. The cheer squad who spent nearly the entire game yelling and directing the crowd with emotive movements, injected the match with an intense spirit, and actually climbed into the stands to pump the hype. It’s not just the cheer squad either, the crowd itself was more lively, standing after the first hit of the inning or devotedly singing with the numerous songs, it’s impossible to not feel the energy. Complimenting the natural downtimes of baseball with the fantastic cheer segments made the game a joy to attend, and I look forward to my next chance to return.
