Department of Architecture

Faculty of Engineering and Design

Program Outline

Architecture presupposes knowledge in areas such as materials, construction, environment, engineering methods, and production. The curriculum however must not only supply a basic education in those areas but also teach the students how to achieve a balanced combination of these ingredients to result in a superior living space. It is for this reason that study in areas such as the history of architecture, town planning, and design methods are considered indispensable. The Department offers a wide variety of courses to meet these need. In addition to attending lecturers, students participate in practical exercises, labs, and seminars.

The Department of Architecture welcomes students whose interests range from art to society and the natural sciences in addition to engineering.
