Major in Mechanical Engineering

Graduate School of Science and Engineering

“Mechanical engineering remains a key technology in any age”

The industrial world is changing at a remarkable pace. What remains unchanged, however, is that mechanical engineering is a key support technology for industry in the 21st century. In addition to offering specialized courses in some of the most fundamental fields of mechanical engineering—including material engineering, the dynamics of machinery, thermodynamics, and hydraulics—this program offers advanced coursework and research guidance in functional materials, astronautics, and environmental energy engineering. The curriculum is constantly being reformulated in response to the changing times.
The master’s program gives students the tools they need to conduct advanced research and development, while the doctoral program equips them with the ability to conduct creative research and the skills needed for conducting even more advanced research and development. This program aims to cultivate technical professionals with a broad perspective who can meet the expectations of 21st-century industry and society.
