Dan Koakimoto, Executive Trustee

Born in 1968. Professor, Faculty of Letters. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Letters in 1990. Earned his master’s degree from Keio University’s Graduate School of Letters in 1992. Other than Dissertation, completed all Ph.D. course requirements at Keio University’s Graduate School, Division of Letters in 1995, and earned his Ph.D. in Literature from Keio University Graduate School in 2006. Became a full-time lecturer at Edogawa Women's Junior College in 1995. Became a full-time lecturer at Hosei University Faculty of Letters in 1998, Assistant Professor in 2001 (Associate Professor from April 2007) and Professor in 2009 (a post he continues to hold to the present). His past service includes Chairman of the Steering Committee, Graduate School of Humanities International Japanese Studies Institute in 2014 (until March 2016), Dean of the Faculty of Letters in 2017 (until March 2021) and Councilor of Hosei University in 2017 (until March 2021). Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor and a Vice President of Hosei University in 2021.

Tetsu Sano, Executive Trustee

Born in 1964. Professor, Faculty of Business Administration. Graduated from Nihon University, College of Economics in 1987. Earned his master’s degree at Rikkyo University’s Graduate School of Economics in 1989. Other than Dissertation, completed all Ph.D. course requirements at Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of Social Sciences in 1993, and earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from Hitotsubashi University’s Graduate School in 2001. Became a researcher of the Japan Institute of Labour (today’s Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training) in 1993 and a senior researcher of the Institute in 1998. Became Assistant Professor at Hosei University’s Faculty of Business Administration in 2003 and Professor in 2004 (a post he continues to hold to the present). His past service includes the Director of Learning Environment Support Center, Hosei University Center for Higher Education Development and Support in 2013 (until March 2018), Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration in 2018 (until March 2021), and Councilor of Hosei University in 2018 (until March 2021). Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor (up to the present) and a Vice President of Hosei University (up to the present) in 2021.

Tetsu Sano, Executive Trustee

Toshiyuki Okuyama, Executive Trustee

Born in 1962. Professor at the Faculty of Economics. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Hosei University in 1986. Earned his master’s degree from the University’s Graduate School of Sociology in 1989, his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 1993 and, other than his Dissertation, completed all his Ph.D. course requirements at the Hosei University Graduate School of Sociology, also in 1993. Became an Assistant at the Department of Economics of Hirosaki University Faculty of Humanities in 1993, a Full-time Lecturer at the University in 1993, an Assistant Professor at the University in 1995, an Assistant Professor at Hosei University Faculty of Economics in 1996, a Professor at the University’s Faculty in 2002 (a post he continues to hold to the present), the Dean of the Graduate School of Economics in 2011 (until March 2013), the Dean of the Faculty of Economics in 2015 (until March 2017), and a Councilor of Hosei University in 2015 (until March 2017). In 2017, he became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor of Hosei University (up to the present) and, also in 2017, a Vice President of Hosei University (up to the present).

Yuji Ozawa, Executive Trustee

Born in 1963. In 1986, graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Hosei University, where he later joined that same year. His past service includes posts as Assistant to the Assistant Director of the Academic Affairs Section of the Correspondence Education Administration Division in 2006, Assistant to the Assistant Director of the Correspondence Education Administration Section of the Correspondence Education Administration Division in 2007, Assistant Director of the Correspondence Education Administration Section of the Correspondence Education Administration Division in 2008, Assistant Director of the Human Resources Section of the Human Resources Division in 2013, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Division in 2014, Director of the Human Resources Division in 2016, Director of the General Administration Division and Executive Director of the Corporate Management Bureau in 2017 (until March 2018), and Councilor of Hosei University in 2017 (until March 2018). Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor of Hosei University in 2018 (up to the present time).

Atsushi Kanai, Executive Trustee

Born in 1957. Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering. Obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Tohoku University School of Engineering in 1980 and his Master of Engineering from the same School in 1982. Earned his Ph.D. (Information Science) from Tohoku University in 2002. Joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation Yokosuka Electrical Communication Laboratory in 1982. Became Senior Researcher of NTT Information Sharing Platform Laboratories in 1999, General Manager of Research Planning Department, NTT Information Sharing Laboratory Group in 2002 and Information Security Project Manager and Senior Researcher of NTT Information Sharing Platform Laboratories in 2004. Became Professor at Hosei University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering in 2008 (a post he continues to hold to the present). His past service includes Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering in 2018 (until March 2020), Councilor of Hosei University in 2018 (until March 2020), and Director of the Research Center for Computing and Multimedia Studies in 2020 (until March 2021). Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor (up to the present) and a Vice President of Hosei University (up to the present) in 2021.

Tatsuro Wani, Executive Trustee

Born in 1959. Head of Hosei University Kokusai High School. Graduated from Yokohama National University, Department of Economics in 1983 and earned his master’s degree from Yokohama National University’s Graduate School of Economics in 1985. Became a teacher at Hosei Girls’ Senior High School. (today’s Hosei University Kokusai High School) in 1988 and the Principal of Hosei University Kokusai High School in 2009, both positions he continues to hold to the present. Became a Councilor of Hosei University in 2009 (until March 2021) and a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor in 2021 (up to the present).

Diana Khor, Executive Trustee

Born in 1960. Professor, Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies. Graduated from the University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Social Sciences in 1983 and earned her M.Phil (Sociology) from the University of Hong Kong in 1985. Earned a M.A. (Sociology) at Stanford University in 1987. Completed the doctoral course requirements at Stanford University and earned her Ph.D. (Sociology) in 1994. Positions at Hosei University include full-time lecturer in the Faculty of General Education in 1999, Assistant Professor in the same faculty in 2001, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law in 2003 and Professor in 2005. Became a Professor, Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2008 (up to the present) and Dean of Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2015 (until March 2017). Became Councilor of Hosei University in 2015 (until March 2017), and returned to the position of Dean of Faculty of Global and Interdisciplinary Studies in 2019 (until March 2020). Became Councilor of Hosei University in 2019 (until March 2020). Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor and Vice President of Hosei University in 2021 (posts she continues to hold to the present).

Shinya Iwasaki, Executive Trustee

Born in 1961. Professor, Faculty of Social Policy and Administration. Graduated from Chuo University, Faculty of Law in 1983. Earned his master’s degree at Japan College of Social Work’s Graduate School of Social Welfare in 1994. Withdrew from doctoral course at Tokyo Metropolitan University’s Graduate School of Social Sciences in 1995. Earned his Ph.D. (Human Welfare) from Hosei University in 2020. Became a research associate in the Faculty of Humanities Department of Social Welfare, Tokyo Metropolitan University in 1995. Positions at Hosei University include Assistant Professor, The Ohara Institute for Social Research, Hosei University in 1998, full-time lecturer at Faculty of Social Policy and Administration in 2000, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Social Policy and Administration in 2001, and Professor, Faculty of Social Policy and Administration in 2006 (up to the present). Became Dean of Faculty of Social Policy and Administration in 2016 (until March 2018). Became Councilor of Hosei University in 2016 (until March 2018) and Assistant Vice President of Hosei University in 2018 (until March 2021). Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor (up to the present) and Vice President of Hosei University (up to the present) in 2021.

Born in 1963. Graduated from Hosei University, Faculty of Law in 1987. Joined Hosei University Educational Corporation as an administrative staff member in 1987. Became office manager (Assistant Manager), Hosei Girls’ Senior High School in 2008, and Office manager (Manager), Hosei Girls’ Senior High School in 2010. Became Manager, Educational Support Section, Academic Affairs Division in 2012, Deputy General Manager, Academic Affairs Division in 2016, General Manager, Academic Affairs Division and General Manager, Educational Support Bureau in 2017 (until March 2021). Became Councilor of Hosei University in 2017 (until March 2021).
Became a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor (up to the present) of Hosei University in 2021 (up to the present).

Born in 1953. Former Auditor at Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Hosei University in 1975. Joined Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. in 1975, became the Deputy General Manager of the Treasury Department of Idemitsu Petrochemical Co. Ltd. in 2000, a Director and the General Manager of the General Affairs Department of Idemitsu Unitech Co., Ltd. in 2002, a Managing Director and the General Manager of the Sales Department at the Company in 2006, an Executive Officer and the General Manager of the Chemical Management Department of Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd. in 2008, an Auditor at the Company in 2010, and a Trustee and Councilor of Hosei University in 2014 (up to the present). In 2015, he became a Trustee and Vice Chairperson of the Hosei University Alumni Association (up to the present).

Became Head of General Secretariat in 1988, Branch manager of Keisei-ekimae Branch in 1990, General Manager, Public Relations Division in 1992, General Manager, General Affairs Division in 1995, Branch Manager, Matsudo Branch in 1996, Director & Branch Manager, Matsudo Branch, Director & General Manager, Branches Division in 1997, and Director in 1998 (until March 1999). Became President and CEO, The Chibagin DC Card, Ltd. in 1999 (until June 2006). Became Director and Advisor, Chiba Saiken Kaishu Co., Ltd. in 2006 (until December 2006). Joined The Daiwa Bank, Limited in 1984 (until October 1988). Worked in the Yasuda Mutual Life Insurance Company, London Office from 1991 until January 1993 and Ogata Appraisal Corporation from 1993 until August 1995. Joined Ikoma Corporation (Currently CBRE K.K.) in 1997, and became Executive Director, Ikoma CB Richard Ellis (Currently CBRE K.K.), Head of Investment Advisory Department/Asset Advisory Department in 2000, Executive Officer, CBRE K.K. in 2007, Board Director, CBRE K.K., Head of Consulting H.Q. in 2008, Managing Director, CBRE K.K., Head of Valuation & Advisory Services in 2010, and Managing Director, CBRE K.K., Investment Properties in 2012 (until March 2018). Born in 1959. Former Executive Trustee, Hosei University. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Hosei University in 1982. Joined Hosei University in 1982, became an Assistant to the Assistant Director of the Second Student Affairs Office in the Student Affairs Division in 2004, an Assistant to the Assistant Director of the First Student Affairs Office in the Student Affairs Division in 2005, the Assistant Director of the First Student Affairs Office in the Student Affairs Division in 2006, the Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Center in 2008, the Deputy Director of the Koganei Administration Division in 2009, the Director of the Admissions Center in 2011 (until March 2016), the Director of the Academic Affairs Division and the Executive Director of the Educational Support Bureau in 2014 (until March 2017), a Councilor of Hosei University in 2014 (until March 2017) and a Trustee, Executive Trustee and Councilor of Hosei University in 2017. In 2021, he became an Auditor (Full-time) at Hosei University (up to the present).

Born in 1953. A Certified Public Accountant. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Hosei University in 1977. Joined Showa Kansa Hojin (lit. “Showa Audit Corporation”) in 1977, became a registered Certified Public Accountant in 1982, joined Ota Showa Audit Corporation in 1993, became the Representative Employee of Century Ota Showa & Co. in 2001 and a Senior Partner at Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC in 2008 (Retired in June 2016), and established Ohta Certified Public Accountant Office in 2016 (up to the present). In 2017, he became an Auditor at Hosei University (up to the present).

Sachiko Seki, Auditor

Born in 1956. Representative Director of Local First Laboratory. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Hosei University in 1980. Completed the master’s course in policy science of the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Hosei University in 2008. Joined Mitaka City Government Office in 1980 (until April 2007). Became a research specialist of the Chiyoda City Management Foundation in 2007 (until December 2009). Served as a Policy Planning Officer of the Office for the Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corporation of Japan in 2009 (until September 2010). Assumed office as the Representative Director of Local First Laboratory in 2010 (to present). Became a visiting professor at Toyo University in 2011 (to present). Currently holds positions in the research committee for promoting local government SDGs evaluations in the Cabinet Office since 2018, the committee for postal service privatization since 2021, and the roundtable for promoting the SDGs since 2022. Became an Auditor of Hosei University in 2023 (to present).

Born in 1952. A lawyer. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, Hosei University in 1975. Established the Law Office of Takako Otsuka in 1991 (to present). Became a Director of Capital Servicing Co., Ltd. in 2000 (to present). Became a Family Conciliation Commissioner of Tokyo Family Court in 2002 (to present). Became a Dispute Coordinating Committee member of Tokyo Labor Bureau in 2009 (to September 2019). In 2011, she became an Auditor of Machizukuri Nakano 21 Co., Ltd. (to present), an Auditor of Nakano Sunplaza Inc. (to June 2023), and an Auditor of National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (to July 2017). Became a Director of Social Welfare Service Corporation Nakano Ward Welfare Service Organization in 2016 (to present), and an Auditor of Japan Environmental Storage & Safety Corporation in 2021 (to present). In December 2023, she became an Auditor at Hosei University (to present).
