SJSU, established in 1857, is among the top 200 research universities in the U. S., and the number one supplier of education, computer science and business graduates to Silicon Valley, the world's high tech capital. International students have the opportunity to enroll in undergraduate courses as diverse as Child Development, Introduction to Environmental Issues, and Introduction to Graphic Design. The Student Union offers an array of event, recreation and entertainment services to SJSU's students.

Entrance Requirements

♦GPA requirement 2.8
♦English TOEFL® paper-based 530, internet-based 71 / IELTS 6.0 required for entrance into undergraduate courses. SAL offers a combination of undergraduate and intensive English language courses or intensive English language courses only.

♦Closing Date:  Four months prior to the start of the semester. Students will submit a list of course choices and alternates to the SAL office.

Housing

♦The Campus Village Apartments CVA offers a variety of furnished accommodations with kitchen facilities. (Other dormitories may come with or without kitchen facilities.)
