Hosei University European Research Center Zurich (HERZ)

Switzerland is a global forerunner in science, technology, and education. With the world’s highest per capita number of patents as well as citations in scientific publications, it is home to several top-ranked universities. As the first foreign university to establish a research facility here, Hosei is underlying its close ties with world-class institutions, especially the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and the University of St. Gallen. HERZ is acting as a facilitator for Swiss and Japanese researchers who develop joint projects. It assists in identifying prospective research partners, hosts meetings and workshops in Switzerland as well as Japan, and incubates new and innovative projects of academic exchange. It also provides a state-of-the-art working environment to Hosei members conducting field research in Europe or who stopover for meetings and conferences.
