Sakura Exchange Program in Science of JST conducted

October 28, 2015

During seven days from Friday, August 21 to Thursday, August 27, the Sakura Exchange Program in Science (Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science), which is administered by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), was implemented.

Hosei University first conducted this program, aiming to contribute to fostering human resources who can serve as bridges between Japan and Vietnam through creative collaboration between a high school in Vietnam and a university in Japan.

Eight high school students and a teacher leading them were invited from Vietnam to participate in the Open Campus program, lectures, and experiments conducted in the university, and take a tour of science- and technology-related facilities.

The students seemed to become more interested in Japan by coming in contact with Japanese science and technology, culture, and traditions.
