Congratulations and Welcome to Hosei University

April 16, 2014

On Thursday April 3, at the Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), the 2014 entrance ceremony was held.

Despite the rain, approximately 14,800 attendees, including freshmen and their parents, participated in the ceremony, which was held twice on that day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Prior to the ceremony, the Hosei University Ouendan gave a performance to welcome and cheer on the freshmen. Hosted by Chikara Nukanobu (a junior of the Department of Lifelong Learning and Career Studies, Faculty of Lifelong Learning and Career Studies) and Aiko Zasu (a junior of the Department of Global Politics, Faculty of Law), the entrance ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the University President, Yuko Tanaka. As a guest, a professional female shogi player, Akiko Nakakura (a graduate of the Faculty of Humanity and Environment) delivered a congratulatory message.

After the ceremony, the freshmen took part in a freshman fair held at the Ichigaya Campus. Their parents, on the other hand, attended the Career Center Guidance and Public Official/Lawyer Course Guidance. In this way, the first chapter of the freshman university life was opened.

Freshmen, congratulations and welcome to Hosei University. May your university life be fruitful!
